Having completely filled all our batches to full capacity for the August session, we at Coding Blocks have started admissions for the December batches as well. Join us this winter at Pitampura and Dwarka for a variety of courses based on your existing skills, and improve them manifold. We have batches across technologies such as C++, Java, Web Development, Android and Machine Learning. VIEW COURSES
With registrations having started for Coding Blocks' winter batch, we don’t want to keep you enthusiastic students devoid of exciting scholarships and discounts. Here’s presenting, Coders’ Admission & Scholarship Test, or CAST. CAST will be a one-hour long test on logical ability and basic aptitude and will be held online. Through this test, you can avail a scholarship of up to a whopping 75% off the entire course fee for our foundation courses, Launchpad and Crux. ELIXIR LIVE STARTS
After a hugely successful online course on C++, Coding Blocks takes great pride in launching Elixir Live, a unique online course to help you gain expertise in web development using Node.Js. The course is a mix of live classes and pre-recorded videos. Elixir Live started with its first class on Sept 25, and the first class has been made available on YouTube for everyone. The course is being conducted by Arnav Gupta, who has previously worked as a developer with Micromax, Cyanogen, Sony and Cube26 and has been a speaker at international conferences like JSFoo, DroidCon and many more. COMPETITIVE PROGRAMMING BOOTCAMPS STARTS
Coding Blocks presents to you the ultimate Competitive Programming Bootcamp for aspiring competitive coders. The course started on Sept 30 and the first class has been made available on YouTube for everyone. Succeed in competitions such as ACM-ICPC, Google Code-Jam, Google Kickstart and many more by mastering analytical skills and advanced techniques and concepts. The course is COMPLETELY ONLINE and is being conducted by Prateek Narang, Coding Blocks founding member and our most loved faculty member along with Deepak Aggarwal, one of our oldest mentors. VIEW FIRST CLASS
CODE-N-COUNTER 2.0
After a very successful first edition last year, Nagarro and Coding Blocks came together again in 2017 to organize Code-N-Counter 2.0, the second edition of Nagarro's annual coding hackathon. The online round was held on HackerEarth in August and saw a participation of over 4500 teams. The top 100 teams were called for the final round to be held at the Nagarro HQ in Gurugram on Sept 2 and 3. The two day finale saw teams from various corners of the country, with ingenious ideas and implementations. The event was indeed a success.
OPEN SOURCE AND GSOC MEETUP AT DWARKA
Coding Blocks conducted an exclusive meetup for Open Source and GSoC enthusiasts at our Dwarka centre on Sept 10. The event saw a variety of speakers speak on topics such as the importance of open source, various avenues of open source development, GSoC experiences and also various GSoC organizations. The highlight of the day was a live chat with Mario Behling and HP Dang from FOSSASIA. The valediction ceremony for BOSS also took place and all prize winners talked about their experiences. The event was attended by over 100 open source developers and enthusiasts, who thoroughly enjoyed the event.

GRAPHS WEBINAR
Coding Blocks conducted a LIVE Webinar on the most confusing and hard to comprehend topic - Graph Algorithms on our YouTube channel. The Webinar was conducted by our founding member and students’ favourite mentor, Prateek Narang on Sept 11. Students learnt to implement Graphs from basics and built interesting projects using - DFS Flood Fill Algorithm. Topics such as BFS, DFS, TSP and command line flood were covered too.

GIT - GITHUB WEBINAR
Coding Blocks conducted a LIVE Webinar on the topic of Git and GitHub on our YouTube channelThe webinar was conducted on Sept 28 by our founding member and multiple time GSoCer and GSoC mentor, Arnav Gupta. This webinar introduced the students about Git - the version control and its collaborative platform GitHub. They were shown live demos of various Git commands and how they help in maintaining versions/history of a project.

INTRODUCTORY WEB DEVELOPMENT WEBINAR
Coding Blocks conducted a LIVE Webinar on Introduction to Web Development on our YouTube channel. The webinar was conducted on Sept 25 by our founding member and multiple time GSoCer and GSoC mentor, Arnav Gupta. This webinar was aimed at helping students get a kick-start in the world of web-development. Students were taught about how the web works, how to build website frontends and setup backends and also about the basic architecture of many common websites.

WORKSHOPS AND BOOTCAMPS ORGANIZED
APP DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT
Coding Blocks organized a workshop on App Development and Deployment using Java and Gradle at the Greater Noida centre. The workshop was conducted by GSoC mentor Anuj Garg on Sept 2. It was intended towards getting students started into application development using Java. The mentor covered topics such as dependency management, Gradle and some third-party libs to make a small http server and VLC java wrapper interface. Students also made a VLC remote for LAN.
FACEBOOK CHATBOTS USING JAVA
Coding Blocks organized a workshop on Facebook Chatbot using Java at the Greater Noida centre. The workshop was conducted by GSoC mentor Anuj Garg on Sept 3. It was intended towards introducing students to REST API and its real-life usage with Facebook chatbots. Topics such as Spring Boot, Facebook Webhook and Messenger API were discussed; students deployed their code to Heroku for launching and iterating their project; and eventually made a Joke Teller Chatbot.
ANDROID GAME DEVELOPMENT
Coding Blocks organized a three-day bootcamp on Android Game Development at the  Greater Noida centre. The bootcamp was conducted by GSoC mentor Anuj Garg from Sept 30 to Oct 2. It introduced students to topics such as popular Java game framework LibGdx, and covered Score HUD, Parallax effect, viewports, physical world simulation and Admob for monetising. Students also made a Mario like game with Jungle UI at the end.
GAME DEVELOPMENT AT JIIT NOIDA
Coding Blocks organized a two-day workshop on Game Development at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Sector 62, Noida. The workshop was conducted on Sept 27 and 28 by web and game development expert, Harpreet Singh. It introduced students to basic game development technologies such as HTML 5 and Javascript. The students also learnt advanced game development frameworks Phaser and Canvas.
CB STUDENTS EXCEL AT PLACEMENTS
As the new academic year started in colleges, so did their placement season. As always, Coding Blocks students excelled and got placements/internships in industry leaders like Arcesium, Adobe, Amazon, Citi Group, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, SanDisk and a lot more. Till the end of September, more than 160 Coding Blocks students have gotten internship/job offers in a total of 55 different companies. We strongly believe that Coding Blocks helps these students by making them industry ready, which all these companies realize too, hence the large numbers. CODING BLOCKS ACQUIRES NEW TALENT
Recently, Coding Blocks visited the campus of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) on a hiring drive, looking for brilliant coders with the passion to teach. Applicants had to go through a rigorous system of written tests, interviews as well as demo classes. We visited the campus for a written test on Sept 26 and for further rounds on Sept 28. We are proud to have our new team members on board starting June 2018.
