At the same event, Coding Blocks founding member Arnav Gupta was invited to participate in a panel discussion titled Jobs vs Higher Education vs Entrepreneurship. He spoke about his own experiences and also about the philosophy that Coding Blocks imparts to its students. The panel also had other emminent professionals from the education industry, such as Mr. Arun Sharma from Mindworkzz CAT Classes and Mr. Rajeev Saumitra from Paramount Classes among others.

CODING BLOCKS CONDUCTS COLLEGE WORKSHOPS

Team Coding Blocks conducted a workhop on Introductory Android Development at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology on January 25. The workshop was conducted by CB founding member Arnav Gupta. The attendees were taught to create basic Android Apps using sensors like accelerometer, and built a game using the proximity sensor.

Team Coding Blocks conducted a workhop on Game Development at Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Science For Women on January 23. The workshop was conducted by Harpreet Singh and Anuj Garg. The attendees started with a revision of JavaScript and then went on to create many exciting games using JavaScript.

Team Coding Blocks conducted a workhop on Basic Open Source at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women on January 30. The workshop was conducted by Aayush Arora and gave the attendees a complete overview of Open Source Development. He talked about starting off, contributing to organizations and about various competitions.

CODING BLOCKS MENTORS SHOWCASE THEIR TALENT

Java mentor Garima Chhikara recently published a paper titled 'Use of Facial Landmarks for Adaptive Compression of Videos on Mobile Devices'. She presented her research along with her teammates from IIIT Delhi as well as IBM Research India at the 10th International Conference on COMmunication Systems & NETworkS (COMSNETS) in Bengaluru.

Android mentor Harshit Dwivedi was invited by Google India to speak at two different events of Mobile Developer Fest in January. He travelled to SV College of Engineering, Tirupati and Marwadi University, Rajkot to speak about his journey as a developer and his experience with the Associate Android Developer Certification and Google Summer of Code.

Coding Blocks believes in moving with the times, and to align with that ideology, we introduce a bootcamp on Blockchain technology. The bootcamp will cover the concepts and technology behind blockchain and cryptocurrency. The bootcamp will be conducted by Ankit Malik, who's an expert on blockchain. A graduate from IIT Delhi, Ankit worked at Facebook and Barclays before starting up on his own. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for announcements regarding dates and registrations.
